We dedicate this edition of the rives de l’iriv to Goksin Sipahioglu, founder of Sipa Press, who recently passed. Sipahioglu was one of the founders of photojournalism along with Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, George Rodger, Cornell Capa and David Seymour. This twenty first ediction is dedicated to the vision. The editorial rive suggests a revolution of vision. The academic rive analyses the words to look, vision, watcher and their implication. The French rive offers an anthropological vision on city youths. The Japanese rive looks at the Franco-nippone ‘cross-fertilisation’. The Russian rive studies the history of Russian migration and the weight of the soviet vision. The Columbian rive invites us to consider the mourning of ‘people who come from elsewhere’. The American rive offers a romantic vision of France.
